The newest member of Mackie’s Active Loudspeaker family, the SRM350 is a two-way, bi-amplified loudspeaker capable of handling 121dB output with a built-in 165-watt LF amplifier and a 30-watt HF amplifier.

Using the company’s Dynamic Bass Boost system, the SRM350 is able to boost key low-end frequencies as volume levels are reduced to create a well-balanced output at any level. Also onboard is the new Active Protection Management System, which employs advanced limiting and variable thermal-response circuitry to limit high-input signal levels for constant, clean output while monitoring the operating temperature to keep the speaker running even in the harshest operating environments. Driver configuration includes a single 10-inch LF woofer and a 1-inch HF drive. A waveguide horn and direct-radiating woofer allow the SRM350 to deliver exceptionally wide and even sound dispersion.

The SRM350’s asymmetrical, rugged, lightweight and high-impact plastic enclosure is geared for P.A. and floor monitor applications, as well as being easily transported with comfortable handles on one side and on top. The cabinet can also be flied and pole-mounted.

Onboard active electronics include dual amplifiers, EQ, crossover, phase alignment and protection circuitry. The real panel has a built-in mic/line input on a Neutrik combo connector, a level control and mic/line switch, along with power, limit and signal-present LEDs in the read and Mackie’s blue power-on LED in front.

Available in Q4 2003, the SRM350 has an MSRP of $699. For more, visit www.mackie.com.
