The ELUX 251 embodies the many of the characteristics of theTelefunken ELA M251. The ELUX 251 uses a hand-built, hand-tuned andstrictly tested German capsule with a 6mil Dupont Mylar film diaphragmand the same close tolerances and asymmetrical design as the famedCK-12 capsule. The head grille’s internal chamber resonance closelymatches the Tele 251 in equivalent volume and “mesh count” that affectshigh frequency response. Capsules are specially selected and thenmatched to a no-compromise design using tube and transformer circuitry. The ELUX 251 comes in a large, aluminum briefcase with the 110/220VACP251 power supply, all cables, instructions and shock mount.
