Music and sound design company Musikvergnuegen is expanding itsrepertoire of work with the opening title sequence and 5.1 surround mixfor the recent thriller Taking Lives, starring Angelina Jolieand Ethan Hawke, and a network re-design for TBS.
For Musikvergnuegen founder Walter Werzowa (pictured), the maintitle had to capture the intrigue and suspense of Taking Livesin a conceptual, narrative manner. To achieve this, Werzowa drew uponthe ominous feel of the film and reinforced the plot of changingidentities through the music and sound design, completed within a verytight schedule.
Musikvergnuegen is currently working on a network re-design for TBS,creating their new audio identity. Werzowa and his team studied thephilosophy and identity of the network, and scored a piece thatcomplemented its comedic programming.
