INTAKT is a state-of-the-art sample specifically designed forrhythmic loop playback, manipulation and more. Its one-screen interfacefeatures numerous sound-shaping abilities without disrupting thecreative flow. Using multiple algorithms, INTAKT automatically syncs totempo, while an expansive library of loops from Zero-G and East Westprovides numerous source material for any musical style. Sound-shapingoptions include a multimode filter, an envelope follower, two LFOs,effects and more.
INTAKT features three sample playback algorithms to ensure maximumsound quality for a variety of source material.
Using an advanced peak-detection algorithm, the Beat Machine dividesthe imported audio into individual hits. Each hit can have individualsettings for pitch, playback direction, pitch envelope, amp envelope,distortion, delay and more. A MIDI file can be easily exported so thatgroove, accent and feel can be manipulated in any host sequencer. TheBeat Machine can directly open REX files that already contain markerinformation.
The Time Machine time-stretches or compresses the sound in realtime. By first analyzing the sound source, the Time Machine candynamically adapt itself to a wide variety of source sounds, fromsustained vocals to polyphonic percussion.
Not only does INTAKT sync, stretch and pitch, but it filters,effects and modules. INTAKT also hosts a powerful sound-shaping filter,flexible envelopes, synchable LFOs, distortion, synchable delay andlo-fi effects.
Though INTAKT ships with numerous loops, it also imports .WAV,.AIFF, REX1 and REX2 files, Gigasampler, Akai, HALion, EXS, BATTERY andKONTAKT instruments.
Other features include 32-bit processing, 96kHz sample rate support;three sample modes (Beat Machine with ISE, or Individual Slide Edit;Tim Machine and Sampler mode); supports direct-from-disk playback;integrated effects, including lowpass, highpass, band-reject orbandpass modes, global filter); and Total Recall.
Supported interfaces include VST 2.0, MAS, DXi, ASIO, Soundmanager,FreeMIDI, OMS, Audio Units, Core Audio and RTAS. Minimum systemrequirements include Windows XP/2000/ME/98, Pentium III/Athlon 400 MHz,256MB RAM, Mac OS 9.2 or higher, G3 500MHz, 256MB RAM.
INTAKT will be available at the end of the second quarter of 2003and comes with a SRP of $199.
