Toru (Tom) Yamakawa joins Maxell Corporation of America (Fair Lawn, N.J.) as the company’s new president.
Yamakawa’s prior stints include Recording Media Business Group VP and corporate officer of Hitachi Maxell, Ltd., as well as VP, general manager and member of the board of directors at Maxell.
“My objective as president of Maxell Corporation of America is to lead the company’s efforts to build on the strength of the Maxell brand in the consumer, business-to-business and OEM arenas,” said Yamakawa. “We are fortunate that the Maxell name is so well-known, and I look forward to the challenge of increasing the strength of our corporate image and standing in the industry.
