Avid Technology Inc. recently introduced the Avid Xpress Studiosystem, an all-in-one content creation suite for DV professionals. Thepackage includes integrated video editing, audio production, 3-Danimation, compositing and titling, and DVD authoring software productscombined with professional video and audio production hardware. All ofthe applications in the Avid Xpress Studio system interoperate togetheron the same computer, allowing individual content creators to workacross multiple media disciplines in a single productionenvironment.
The five software applications included in the Avid Xpress Studiosystem, which are also available for individual purchase, include AvidXpress Pro, Avid Pro Tools LE, Avid 3D, Avid FX and Avid DVD bySonic.
Avid Xpress Studio will be available in two versions: Avid XpressStudio Essentials, which includes a Digidesign Mbox, and Avid XpressStudio Complete, which includes the Digi 002 and Avid Mojo DigitalNonlinear Accelerator.
Avid Xpress Studio Essentials: $3,995 U.S. MSRP. Avid Xpress StudioComplete: $6,995 U.S. MSRP.
Both are slated to be available this quarter, 2004, through Avid’sworldwide reseller channel and the Avid store, www.avidstore.com.
