The Benjamin and Marian Schuster Center for the PerformingArts, a new $121 million facility in Dayton, Ohio, had its grandopening on March 1, 2003. Evening Audio Consultants (NewHampshire) acted as audio producer for the event and used an InnovaSonconsole at FOH, custom EAW speakers, Live Technologies monitor gear andSennheiser MKE2 miniature lavaliers and bodypacks…The new ownersof the Midland Theater (Newark, OH) faced challenges whenupgrading audio systems for its reopening. The cultural center wasrenovated by the Longaberger and NBBJ architecture teams,and consultants from Tiffin Scenic Studios, Acoustic Dimensions,Crosslights, Live Technologies and M-Engineering. Thefacility now boasts two Yamaha DME32 digital mixing engines, Crownamps, Electro-Voice Xi-1123 speaker systems and a 40-channel YamahaM2500 analog console… Atlanta's newest club, Level 3, is the new resident in theformer Planet Hollywood space on Peachtree Street. Sound contractorDewayne Walters used custom-built Turbosound TFL-768 FloodlightSeries speakers, comprising a TFL 760 with a TSW 718 built into thebottom, all powered by Crest CA amps…L'Acoustic hasestablished a new leasing program for the professional touringindustry.
