Apple announced it has acquired Emagic, whereby Emagic will operate as a wholly owned division of Apple. Mackintosh-based products account for over 65% of Emagic’s current revenues. Emagic’s Windows-based product offerings will be discontinued on September 30, 2002.
Emagic will continue support for PC users. The company also announced that it is currently beta-testing Logic 5.2, to be released in August 2002. For more information, visit www.emagic.de.
