Ultimate Sound Bank has released its Plugsound 1.8 family of samplelibraries for both Mac and PC platforms. Version 1.8 offers sixvolumes: “Keyboards,” “Fretted Instruments,”“Drums & Percussion,” “Hip Hop Toolkit,”“Synth Collection” and “Global Plugsound.”
Volume One, “Keyboards,” features acoustic pianos in classical, jazzand pop styles, as well as alternative sounds such as honky-tonk anddetuned. Also included are clavinets, electric organs, electric pianosand synth-based keyboard sounds.
Volume Two, “Fretted Instruments,” is a collection of acoustic andelectric guitar samples, as well as world guitars, baglamas, jubus andlutes.
“Drums and Percussion” is a collection of 6,000 drum sounds sortedinto various styles, including jazz, natural, raw and treatmentkits.
“Hip Hop Toolkit” contains loops, kits and multisampled instrumentscreated by hip hop and R&B artists. Drum loops are sorted bytempo.
“Synth Collection” contains over 600 MB of modern and retro-synthsounds. Also included are stacks, flute-style leads, voices, tines andbells, basses, pads, sweeps, keyboard styles and more.
“Global Plugsound” is the final entry in the library. Designed tofunction as a General MIDI (GM) module, the collection featuresinstrument categories such as world, orchestral, basses, guitars,keyboards, drums and percussion in GM layouts.
