PreSonuSphere 2011 will be held at the Shaw Center for the Arts. Baton Rouge, LA (October 10, 2011)—PreSonus will host PreSonuSphere 2011, its first all-day users conference, on November 19 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Focusing on tips, techniques, and applications for PreSonus’ Studio One v2 DAW software and StudioLive-series digital mixers, the first-annual PreSonuSphere conference will include guest lectures and demos by Electronic Musician/Harmony Central editorial director and Pro Sound News columnist, Craig Anderton; front-of-house engineer Ace Baker; worship-team trainer Doug Gould; journalist and engineer Mike Rivers; TV- and film-music producer and songwriter Rhett Mouton; and PreSonus technology evangelist Byron Gaither.
Users will meet and talk shop with key people who create PreSonus products, including president/founder/chief strategy officer Jim Odom; chief technology officer Bob Tudor; digital products manager Scott Harrell; and vice president of Sales and PreSonus video star Rick Naqvi. Visitors can also talk with the Studio One development team, Wolfgang Kundrus and Matthias Juwan, PreSonus Software Ltd’s managing director and chief technology officer, respectively.
PreSonuSphere 2011 will be held at the Shaw Center for the Arts in historic downtown Baton Rouge, and will kick off with a Cajun dinner party with bar and live music on the evening of November 18.
The main conference on November 19 features presentations in two adjacent rooms: one devoted to StudioLive, and the other to the newly released Studio One 2. Vistors can pick and choose their sessions, and later, via snail mail, will get video DVDs of all PreSonuSphere proceedings, thus allowing them to still see sessions that were happening at the same time next door.
PreSonuSphere 2011 has a $20 registration fee ($25 at the door)—vistors will get a commemorative t-shirt, pads and pens, take-home reference materials, breakfast and Cajun dinner, beverage tickets and the aforementioned DVDs.
