SAE to Host NAMM Mastering Panel

SAE Institute’s LA campus will host a panel titled “Mastering Do’s and Don’ts” at the 2014 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA on Thursday, January 23.

Anaheim, CA (January 15, 2014)—SAE Institute’s LA campus will host a panel titled “Mastering Do’s and Don’ts” at the 2014 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA on Thursday, January 23.

The panel will be part of The H.O.T. Zone (Hands on Training), which provides live educational sessions and innovative ideas for professionals in the audio, entertainment technologies, music business operations, recording, live sound, DJ, house of worship, commercial systems contractors/integrators, and stage and lighting industries.

“Mastering Do’s and Don’ts” will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Tech Lab (202B). Some of the world’s busiest mastering engineers—including Grammy-winner Gavin Lurrsen (Queens of the Stone Age, Bruno Mars, Alison Krauss And Robert Plant, “Inside Llewen Davis”), Peter Doell (Miles Davis, REM, Robyn), Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Clash, White Stripes), and Tom Rogers (Jon DeRosa, AM, Magnetic Fields, IAMX)—will discuss final mix delivery formats, stereo bus compression, and stems vs. stereo mixdowns.
