Major wildfires in Southern California have reportedly destroyed Sarm West Coast LA, the luxurious residential studio owned by Trevor Horn.
Over 200,000 people have now fled their homes as a result of the fires according to the BBC.
By Thursday evening the fire had consumed 115,000 acres of land, destroyed over 400 structures in Ventura and damaged at least 85 more, according to authorities, who say the the fight could last another couple of weeks.
The award-winning music producer tweeted the following statement on December:
“Sarm West Coast caught fire yesterday not musically as it has done in the past 20 years, but physically. We haven’t been able to get there yet but by all accounts it’s completely burnt down. Thank you all for your kind messages. Please G-D we will build a new one.”

Nestled in the hills of Bel Air, the six bedroom house and state of the art recording studio with expansive views over canyons, mountains and the ocean has recently seen the likes of Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Travis Scott, One Direction, Kanye West, Charli XCX and Slash record there.
The announcement was met with a number of supportive responses, including the below from Anya Goddard, head of A&R at Syco Music and Scottish music producer and songwriter Stuart Crichton, also based in LA.
Please let us know how Syco can help or support in any way, Trevor. We loved that house and all our latest Little Mux hits were written there. Sending love xx
