SE ELECTRONICS GEMINI AND ICISMarch 2004—SE Electronics showed several unique entries at Winter NAMM: Gemini is a large-diaphragm cardioid studio condenser

SE ELECTRONICS RUPERT NEVE SIGNATURE SERIES
March 2008—SE Electronics (www.seelectronics.com ) SE Electronics announced a range of Rupert Neve Signature Series mics under the SE name. Due to ship late summer, the first entry is an active ribbon design using discrete circuits and custom transformers designed by Mr. Rupert Neve. Following the new ribbon will be a large-diaphragm tube mic and a solid-state condenser model, with all three mics sharing a look combining retro with modern industrial chic.

SE ELECTRONICS REFLEXION FILTER
March 2007—SE Electronics had a smaller version of its Reflexion filter that keeps problem reflections from returning to your mic.

SE ELECTRONICS CONDENSER MIC
November 2006—SE Electronics showed a clever dual-output condenser mic at AES that works via an XLR or through a USB port that powers the mic and connects to your DAW. It also has a headphone out with a knob that lets users choose the direct vs. mix output to the cans for zero latency monitoring.

SE ELECTRONICS TITAN
October 2006—sE Electronics’ Titan is a tranformerless, multipattern, Class-A FET condenser. It uses the company’s specially developed center-terminated titanium-diaphragm capsule, providing a frequency characteristic with enhanced clarity, detail and transient response. A better transient response means clear high frequencies with less distortion and a tighter LF response. Titan features a -10dB pad and LF roll-off switch, and is excellent for vocal recording, acoustic instruments, percussion and broadcast use.

SE ELECTRONICS REFLEXION FILTER
October 2006—The Reflexion Filter is innovative, portable and versatile—a truly unique device that uses state-of-the-art materials to provide acoustical isolation in any environment and improve the sound of acoustically treated rooms. It attaches to any microphone stand via a clamp fitting, and allows the microphone to be moved vertically and horizontally along the assembly.

SE ELECTRONICS REFLEXION FILTER
July 2006—Now shipping is the Reflexion Filter ($399) from SE Electronics. This “portable vocal booth” — which comprises an advanced composite wall positioned behind any microphone, held by a variable position stand clamp (included) — allows the user to record live sources with reduced room ambience. Intended to help obtain a dry vocal or instrument recording, it’s especially useful in studios that don’t have proper acoustic treatment, but it can also be helpful for recording takes in control rooms, where the performer also has to operate the recorder, or in live or rehearsal studios. SE ELECTRONICS SE RIBBON
October 2005—The SE Ribbon is a handcrafted precision microphone yielding all the warmth of a fine vintage microphone and an extended high-frequency response due to our special design. The microphone is supplied with an elegant shockmount and comes in an aluminum flight case. Price: $749. www.seelectronics.com

SE ELECTRONICS TITAN
October 2005—Finally, an affordable 1-inch titanium-diaphragm mic. Titan features clear highs and tight lows, a transformerless active balanced output, eight selectable polar patterns,100Hz filter and 10dB pad. Frequency response is 20 to 20k Hz; Equivalent Noise Level is 18 dB (A-weighted), 128 max SPL for 0.5-percent THD @ 1 kHz; impedance is <200 ohms. 48V phantom power required. Price: $1,499.

SE ELECTRONICS TITAN
June 2005—The unique-looking new mic from SE Electronics ($1,499) is a transformerless, Class-A FET condenser microphone that offers figure-8, cardioid and omni patterns. The name alludes to the center-terminated titanium diaphragm that boasts enhanced clarity, detail and transient response. The mic also features a -10dB pad and low-frequency roll-off switch.

SE ELECTRONICS SE3
March 2005—The SE3 is SE Electronics’ flagship small-diaphragm pencil microphone, offering Class-A FET, true condenser design with a fixed cardioid pick-up pattern. The SE3 sports a low-cut filter and 10dB pad switches. Response is 20 to 20k Hz. The mic includes a shock-mount and deluxe travel case. TO READ THE REVIEW, CLICK HERE.

SE ELECTRONICS TITAN
March 2005—Unveiled at NAMM, the Titan from SE Electronics has a unique look, is built like a rock and features a large-diaphragm Titanium capsule and shockmount.

SE ELECTRONICS GEMINI AND ICIS
March 2004—SE Electronics showed several unique entries at Winter

NAMM: Gemini is a large-diaphragm cardioid studio condenser with
dual-tube (12AU7 and 12AX7) electronics; and Icis has a superlarge 35mm
(1.5-inch) cardioid capsule paired with tube electronics. Both mics
include flight case, shockmount and cables.

SE ELECTRONICS H3500
October 2003—Modeled after the legendary mic capsules that have
characterized large-diaphragm microphone performance for years, the
H3500 exceeds the specifications of the traditional mic in every area.
Specifications: frequency response is 20-20k Hz; fixed cardioid;
sensitivity is >22 mV/Pa +1 dB or -33.5 s/pa; output impedance is
<200 ohms; output noise is <16 dB typical (A-weighted); max SPL
is <0.5% THD @ 1,000 Hz, 133 dB; phantom-powered. List: $599.

SE ELECTRONICS Z-5600
November 2002—Among the new tube mics at AES was SE
Electronics’ Z-5600, a nine-pattern condenser with a large
1.07-inch diaphragm. Retail is $649. TO READ THE REVIEW, CLICK HERE.

SE ELECTRONICS (TBK) Z-5600
October 2002—This studio tube condenser has a 24-carat-gold
sputtered diaphragm that’s increased from a standard 1 inch to a
superlarge 1.07 inches. This results in a fatter bottom-end response
and a higher sensitivity. The Z-5600 uses a replaceable 12AT7 tube
circuit with very low self-noise. Features include a nine-position
polar pattern selector on its custom power supply, allowing users to
switch gradually between the omni, cardioid and figure-8 patterns,
providing superior control in any recording environment. Includes power
supply, shockmount and aluminum briefcase. Retail: $649.

SE ELECTRONICS MICS
April 2002—SE Electronics offers the Z5600 tube condenser mic,
which features a 12AT7 tube, a 1.07-inch diaphragm and a nine-point
