SPARS Names Legacy Award Winner

SPARS has named the recipient of its first annual SPARS Legacy Award: Joseph D. Tarsia.

New York (September 21, 2011)—SPARS has named the recipient of its first annual SPARS Legacy Award: Joseph D. Tarsia.

The new, annual SPARS Legacy Award will be given each year to an industry luminary who historically has demonstrated outstanding leadership, vision and commitment to the recording studio movement in America and the professional recording craft in general.

The SPARS Board of Directors is honored to select as its first recipient, industry pioneer, first SPARS President and one of the founders of SPARS, Philadelphia native and past owner of the legendary Sigma Sound Studio, Joseph D. Tarsia.

The award will be presented during the upcoming 131st AES Convention in New York on October 21, 2011 at the SPARS, P&E Wing and APRS In the Mix annual reception.
