SRSWOWcast Technologies, (Santa Ana, Calif.) (www.srstechnologies.com), a subsidiary of SRS Labs Inc. and a B2B provider of audio- and voice-enhancement

SRSWOWcast Technologies, (Santa Ana, Calif.) (www.srstechnologies.com), a subsidiary of SRS Labs Inc. and a B2B provider of audio- and voice-enhancement technology solutions for broadcasting, streaming media and communications, announced that it has signed a technology licensing agreement with National Mobile Television (NMT) (www.nmtv.com), a provider of mobile television production equipment for outside broadcast sports, entertainment and corporate productions. NMT provides mobile facilities to support more than 6,000 worldwide live events annually, from major broadcast networks, cable networks and independent producers including ABC Sports, CBS Sports, ESPN, Fox News, Fox Sports, Automatic Productions, WNET/Thirteen and The Madison Square Garden Network. The agreement marks SRSWOWcast Technologies’ entry into the multi-billion dollar broadcast market.

Under the terms of the agreement, SRSWOWcast will initially license its new Broadcast Phase Protector (BPP) and Sports Audio Processor (SAP) hardware products exclusively to NMT for use in NMT’s 46 mobile production units. The agreement requires a per-event fee for supporting events that are broadcast using SAP. Production units of both processors will be available in selected NMT production units during the first quarter of 2002 with full deployment by the end of 2002. Under terms of the agreement, NMT can also distribute the BPP and SAP processors to the entire broadcast industry.

“We are very excited to be delivering revolutionary new technologies to the hundreds of millions of sports enthusiasts across the world through our new relationship with the world’s leading broadcast technology and facilities provider, NMT,” said Jennifer Drescher, VP of marketing for SRSWOWcast Technologies. “SRSWOWcast’s goal as a company is to help our customers with their audio challenges and these first two new products fit the bill. We are pleased to announce that the results of our technology development are these first new products providing a more immersive and realistic sound experience that turns the living room into a sports arena.”

According to Mark Howorth, CEO of NMT, “Relationships like the one with SRSWOWcast are helping to further define NMT’s role as not only a leading facilities provider, but as a true technology resource for our customers. The evolving role we play as a complete solutions provider is moved forward with this new type of partnership. We’re thrilled to be working with SRSWOWcast and to provide these important, value-added benefits to the networks and program producers we serve, as well as the millions of viewers watching and listening to our broadcasts.”
