Sherman Oaks, CA (February 10, 2011)–Consultant John Stiernberg will present the keynote address at this year’s International Business Music Association (IBMA) conference in St. Louis, MO on Friday, April 15, 2011.

The annual event brings together leaders of the business music industry for three days of educational workshops and networking. Stiernberg’s topic is “M Stands For Media: The Changing Face of Business Music.” The presentation will address the dynamic changes occurring in both the technology and business climates, and their ongoing impact on business music industry. In addition to discussing the synergy among business music, digital signage, and on-hold messaging, Stiernberg will offer five suggestions for systems integrators, media companies and gear manufacturers on how they can increase revenues and be more competitive in 2011 and beyond.

As principal consultant with Stiernberg Consulting, John Stiernberg has tracked the business music industry for over two decades. “While music is still at the core, video and data are now essential parts of the mix,” says Stiernberg. “Traditional business music is a tough sell, but commercial clients have a growing need for targeted media programming and networked delivery systems.”

Stiernberg also brings an historical perspective to the conference, having also been IBMA’s keynote presenter in 2000 and 2004 and a co-presenter, with Stiernberg Consulting principal Jeanne Stiernberg in 2008.

“Stiernberg Consulting’s industry forecasts from 2008 have been remarkably accurate,” says Bud Waters, Executive Director of IBMA. “We’re looking forward to having John Stiernberg return to IBMA this year, and eager to hear his thoughts on what lies ahead.”
