Orange County, CA (October 17, 2014)—An Orange County recording studio was victim to an armed robbery last week, when three men invaded the studio, stealing $40,000 worth of cash and gear.

The armed robbers arrived at the OC Recording Company on Tuesday, October 7, claiming they had a session. Producer Asaf Fulks, who was at the facility at the time, said he was unaware of a session, and that the robbers told him they were lost.

Once the robbers gained access to the studio, they ordered Fulks and his partner to strip naked and tied them up in a back room using tape. Fulks told NBC Los Angeles that both robbers had guns, and one punched him in the face.

The robbers stole $40,000 worth of cash and gear, including microphones, computers, speakers and guitars. A security camera caught an image of the getaway car, described as a white Chevrolet Uplander.

“We’d like other studios to be aware of this and to be careful and I think, not to open the door at night like that for people you don’t know,” Faulk told NBC Los Angeles.
