Voxengo has introduced its PHA-979 phase-alignment PC VST plug-in, which allows the user to apply an arbitrary phase shift (a simultaneous shifting of all frequencies across the active frequency range of the signal by the given phase shift value) to the program material.
According to the company, this process does not harm the phase relations within the signal being processed. For example, a user can shift the phase of a signal by 90 degrees and then shift its phase by 180+90 degrees to get the original signal. In PHA-979, this is achieved by using a linear phase design.
Other features include phase control for each channel, support for sample rates up to 96 kHz and native assembler DSP code. PHA-979 is currently available for $39 U.S.
In other company news, Voxengo has updated its Warmifier by improving stability; no new functionality was updated.
Warmifier features seven valve types, two processing modes, a High-Quality mode, A/B comparisons, mono-to-stereo and stereo-to-stereo processing, support for any sample rates, factory presets, 64-bit internal precision and native assembler DSP code.
