WAM Welcomes Salman Rushdie

Women’s Audio Mission (WAM) hosted famed novelist Salman Rushdie to its San Francisco studios this week, recording a radio interview for the author’s new memoir, Joseph Anton.

San Francisco, CA (September 28, 2012)—Women’s Audio Mission (WAM) hosted famed novelist Salman Rushdie to its San Francisco studios this week, recording a radio interview for the author’s new memoir, Joseph Anton.

The interview, by Tara Dorabji, KPFA producer, aired September 27 on San Francisco’s 94.1 KPFA-FM. Following its original broadcast, it is now archived at www.dorabji.com.

Women’s Audio Mission utilized its Mojave MA-200 microphones, Countryman Isomax Lavaliers and Millennia HV-3R Mic Pres into Avid Pro Tools HD2 for the session, which was engineered by WAM staff engineer Laura Dean.

“We were so honored to have Salman Rushdie and Tara Dorabji of KPFA in WAM’s studio,” says Women’s Audio Mission founder Terri Winston. “The interview about Mr. Rushdie’s new memoir, Joseph Anton, was so incredibly interesting. I really can’t wait to read this.”
