Speakers:

Andy Cooper, Manager, Pro Audio Application Engineering, Yamaha R&D Centre

After graduating in music and electronics from the University of Keele, UK in 1994, Andy became a radio station sound engineer and started using digital mixers and workstations daily in 1996. He joined Yamaha R&D Centre, London in 1999 as a digital mixer product specialist, and has overseen customer training plans and system designs for digital mixers and audio networks since then. He has taught sound engineers in more than 45 countries around the world and has presented over 50 YouTube tutorial videos.

Kieran Walsh, Director of Applications Engineering (EMEA), Audinate

Kieran has enjoyed a varied career in Audio engineering, currently the role at Audinate sees him giving support and training to manufacturers of a wide range of AV equipment. Prior to joining Audinate, Kieran was Head of Digital and RF at Britannia Row Productions. Apart from the work most associated with Britannia Row, being live concert sound production, Britannia Row has a healthy interest in “special projects”. These projects included many broadcast events where equipment and skills would be leased to a facilities house. Kieran was heavily involved in integrating equipment from various departments and disciplines to create a functioning system. Kieran attributes his interest in the integration of different disciplines to his background and training as a classical musician and producer/engineer of classical and Jazz recordings, which have been carried as radio programs and incidental music for feature films.

Colin Sheen: Studio Owner, Recording Engineer, Composer & Musician.

Colin has spent most of his professional life primarily as a playing session musician. You can hear his trombone in several James Bond, Harry Potter, Superman and Batman movies for example, as well as on records with Paul McCartney, Pavarotti, Barbra Streisand and Jose Carreras. He is also a composer of music for radio and TV. As well as spending literally years in the famous Abbey Road studios, London, Colin runs his own recording studio. During the last three decades he gained experience with various digital audio systems, and now successfully uses a combination of Yamaha and other Dante equipment.
