135th AES Convention Is Underway

The 135th Audio Engineering Society Convention opened today at the Javits Center in New York City and continues through Sunday, October 20, 2013. It will feature the second annual Project Studio Expo, which will include presentations by leading industry authors, journalists and educators, including Craig Anderton, Bill Gibson, Mike Metlay, Andrea Pejrolo, Gino Robair, Hugh Robjohns, Mike Senior, Paul White and more. Additionally, Craig Anderton will also host a Question-and-Answer session on Friday with five-time Grammy Award winner and renowned record producer, songwriter, musician, and entrepreneur Jimmy Jam.

Recording and Production panels, which run throughout all four days of the Convention, bring together top engineers and producers eager to share their insights and knowledge with the larger music production community. From drum programming to mixing tricks to how to listen, come learn from the pros, see what gear they’re using, and hear what it can sound like.

The Knowledge Center is a symposium where companies will share information on essentially any audio subject, including product debuts and information, demonstrations, product training and general applications training.
