Guitar Center and the Harman Professional Group are jointly offering a promotional “$25,000 Studio Makeover” contest during the month of May. The winning entrant will receive an Apple Computer iMac with Logic recording software and a 20-inch monitor display, and professional recording gear from Harman Professional Group’s brands, including AKG microphones, dbx Professional signal processing, Lexicon signal processing and JBL Professional monitors.

Each entrant is entitled to submit one entry comprising an original video diary in MOV (QuickTime) format of up to 10 minutes in length that chronicles a typical day in his or her studio, including a virtual tour, as well as the entrant’s thoughts on their gear and key influences in their career.
No purchase is necessary to enter. The contest is open to all musicians, engineers and producers with a personal studio. The promotion ends on May 31, 2007, and the companies will announce the winner in mid-June.
