AURALEX PARTSCIENCE AUDIOTILE
Designed by Russ Berger for Auralex Acoustics, pArtScience AudioTile redefines the aesthetics of acoustical absorption. Tesselated forms present unlimited design possibilities for a sophisticated, custom appearance precisely tailored to the desired acoustical performance. Varying thickness built into each component delivers excellent broadband absorption, while the design patterns allow a unique means of blending absorption, diffusion and reflection for the optimum acoustic al balance. Auralex’s proprietary Studiofoam formula provides superior durability and Class-B flame retardancy. NAMM booth: #4295.
BAG END E-TRAP
Now in production, Bag End’s revolutionary, tunable electronic bass E-Trap is a first-of-its-kind electronic feedback control system incorporated in a powered subwoofer that creates the same dynamics as a passive bass trap. This is an active feedback coloration control solution that adds dampening to the low-frequency acoustic mode and smooths out the magnitude of frequency response in a room, thus eliminating the need for passive acoustic materials. Price: $998. NAMM booth: #4378.
CASCADE AUDIO ENGINEERING SOUNDSHAPE
SoundShape reduces reverberation times and increases speech intelligibility. Innovative sizing and placement options ensure accurate sound in myriad room types. SoundShape is available in three fabric types and more than 100 colors. The kit comes with 18 panels and four corner traps. Retail: $2,300.
CLEARSONIC MEGAPAC PORTABLE SOUND BOOTH
MegaPac is the latest IsoPac portable isolation booth from ClearSonic. MegaPac features 360 degrees of acrylic shielding to create the company’s best-performing isolation booth yet. All ClearSonic products are portable and modular so that they can be used to solve many different acoustic isolation problems onstage or in the studio. Retail: $2,599. NAMM booth: #1017.
PRIMACOUSTIC VENICE PANEL ROOM KIT

Effective from 500 Hz and up. Designed to treat flutter echo and primary reflections. Ships with mounting panels, instruction manual and adhesive. Dark charcoal finish, fire safety–rated. Retail: $195. NAMM booth: #6953.
PRIMACOUSTIC FREEPORT XT
The Freeport Series of acoustic gobos provide the user with a complete, free-standing acoustic treatment system. Each Freeport is constructed using 3-inch-thick, high-density open cell acoustic foam mounted to a corrugated plastic backing board. Placement is easy using the included stand. The Freeport XT panels measure 48x24 inches and, when stand-mounted, measure just under six feet tall. Assembles in minutes, dark charcoal finish, sold in pairs, stands included, fire safety–rated. Retail: $325. NAMM booth: #6953.
RPG MODEX BROADBAND
Control rooms often exhibit poor low-frequency response with an emphasis at modal resonances. Porous surface absorption is ineffective because the air motion it requires is essentially zero when near room boundaries. The Modex™ Broadband was developed to offer broadband absorption effective from 50 to 5k Hz in a thickness of only four inches. Now you can absorb more bass in less space! Price: $999.
