AES ‘Nashville Audio Engineer Week’ To Coincide with AES Nashville

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean has joined the Nashville Section of the Audio Engineering Society in recognizing “Nashville Audio Engineer Week,” which takes place May 12 through May 18 and coincides with the Nashville Recording Workshop +Expo and AudioMasters Benefit Golf Tournament events taking place that week. Participants will celebrate with the continued growth of two annual events attended by AES members and other audio professionals from around the country. Mayor Dean will be on-hand on May 14, the first day of the Nashville Recording Workshop +Expo.

The Nashville Recording Workshop +Expo (May 14-15) features practical presentations, workshops, and exhibits of pro audio equipment, and is designed for engineers working in home studios and top recording facilities. This is followed by the 16th Annual AudioMasters Benefit Golf Tournament on May 16 and May 17, which draws industry professionals and pro audio industry support each year for this much anticipated time among Nashville’s finest audio pros.

“We are honored to have the city of Nashville recognize the role that the professional audio engineers continue to play in our everyday lives, especially here in Music City, USA,” says AES Nashville Section Chairman Glenn Meadows. “The Audio Engineering Society has long been the driving force behind many of the innovations that help the music industry to thrive. We are excited to host our Nashville Recording Workshop +Expo and Audio Masters Benefit Golf Tournament events, as we celebrate the first annual Nashville Audio Engineer Week.”
