The Audio Engineering Society New York Section will hold an open meeting on Tuesday, April 11 at The New School University, 55 West 13th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues), in the 5th floor jazz performance space. An informal meet-and-greet is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and the formal meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
With a special focus on acoustics, monitoring, treatments and how they apply to current recording spaces, the meeting will be highlighted by a presentation by noted architect/acoustician John Storyk of the Walters-Storyk Design Group. His presentation is entitled “Architecture + Acoustics: Critical Listening Environments For Small Project Studios.”
