At the upcoming 123rd AES convention in New York City’s Javits Center, in booth #150, PMC (the Professional Monitor Company) will unveil its Wafer Series of flat-panel loudspeakers, and demonstrate its IB2 three-way midfield and AML-1 active two-way monitors.
The Wafer Series comprises two models, the on-wall Wafer 1 with a 5.5-inch LF driver and in-wall/in-ceiling Wafer 1-iw with a 6.5-inch LF driver. Both systems feature PMC’s proprietary ATL (Advanced Transmission Line) technology.
PMC will also show the FREE Speaker, an audiophile wi-fi solution that integrates the latest digital wireless devices within PMC’s ATL technology.
PMC USA recently named industry veteran Scott Esterson as its new Western sales manager for the Professional and Consumer Division. “Scott is providing enhanced strategic support for PMC’s current sales network, and developing sales channels into new territories and market sectors,” says PMC USA’s VP of sales and marketing,
Maurice Patist.
PMC is also supplying BB5-XBD-A large-scale reference surround monitoring systems to the AES convention for playback during the AES seminar program and judging of the annual student competition. “PMC’s continued support of both the AES exhibition and technical program was fuelled by requests from the Society’s technical council, who have insisted that PMC should supply the ultimate in high-resolution playback,” says Patist.
In addition, PMC will use a BB5-XBD-A monitoring system in its demo room to demonstrate high-quality surround mixes. Tickets for this event will be available at PMC’s booth during show hours.
