Gefen’s KVM (Keyboard/Video/Mouse) extenders have gone digital. The systems still employ the same sender and receiver system connected by industry-standard CAT-5 cable, but now support high definition digital displays using DVI connectors.
Gefen’s CAT-5 based KVM extenders continue to support remote computer control while functioning as if connected locally, even when up to 150 feet from the computer. High-definition video is sustained up to 1,920 x 1.200 and various interfaces are provided that augment a variety of systems, from the humble home studio to the most sophisticated setup.
Several models are available to choose from, providing a unique assortment of peripheral support, offering nearly complete customized options: The CAT-5-1000HD extends one DVI display and USB keyboard/mouse; the CAT5-5000HD extends two DVI displays and USB keyboard/mouse; the CAT5-7000HD extends two DVI displays, USB or PS/2 keyboard/mouse, RS232 and audio in/out; and the CAT5-9000HD extends one DVI display, USB or PS/2 keyboard/mouse, RS232 and audio in/out.
