AKG Announces Perception 150 Condenser Microphone

At Musikmesse 2007, AKG introduced the Perception 150, an externally biased condenser microphone with a half-inch diaphragm. The Perception 150 offers a cardioid polar pattern and is the first front-address model in AKG’s Perception Series of general-purpose condenser microphones. Its stated frequency range is 20 to 20k Hz.

The unit’s all-metal body helps reject RF interference, freeing the Perception 150 to be used along with wireless microphones or other communications equipment. Also featured is a switchable pre-attenuation pad allowing users to increase headroom by 10 dB to prevent the mic’s output level from overloading mixer input stages.

The microphone ships with an included stand adapter.
