Alcons Audio USA Returns to InfoComm 2013

Alcons Audio LR16 compact pro-ribbon line array

For the second time in the company’s existence, Alcons Audio USA will showcase its patented Pro-Ribbon technology at InfoComm 2013, June 12 through June 14 in Orlando, Fla., at the Orange County Convention Center. In booth #671, Alcons will show a selected choice of point-source, line-source and line-array pro-ribbon sound solutions from the Sound Designer’s Toolbox.

Alcons’ Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controllers offer 192kHz AES/EBU inputs (4-in/4-out), Linux-based processor control, 10kW audiophile-grade amplifier stages, full color touch screen control, and SIS dynamic cable compensation.

Also on exhibit, the QR24 pro-ribbon line-source column, a modular, two-way column-array loudspeaker, is designed for use in acoustically-challenging rooms, delivering a full-range high SPL hi-fi sound quality, with unparalleled speech intelligibility, without the necessity of DSP-based beam-steering.

The BC332 compact cardioid subwoofer features 18+15-inch woofers in a cardioid arrangement. This cancels the sub frequencies on the rear of the cabinet, reducing the reverberant field and greatly improving the system’s accuracy.

Alcons Audio USA will also preview its RR12 horizontal pro-ribbon array system, which takes Alcons’ pro-ribbon cylindrical projection and coupling behavior in new and different directions.

During and after show hours, Alcons Audio will host off-site demonstrations of its pro-ribbon based sound systems. On Wednesday night, June 12, it will host a concert in conjunction with Orlando Productions and PlazaLive that will introduce and demonstrate the LR16 compact pro-ribbon line array. Free tickets for the concert will be available in Alcons’ booth #671.
