At the upcoming PLASA show (September 12-15, 2004, London, UK), Alcons will be present a new product range—including the yet-to-be-released LR16 pro ribbon line array module and the recently launched LR16B, double 15-inch NeoDymium driver bandpass supplement—and highlights of its current line-up.

The LR14, Alcons’ ultracompact line array module, features the patented RBN401 pro ribbon driver. Designed as either an ultracompact line array system or as an underfill of the LR16, the LR14 has a dispersion pattern of 120×15 degrees. Its 800-watt peak power handling offers similar dynamic response as the larger LR16.

In addition to the display of the LR 16 line, a “sneak-preview” will be given on the new Q Series, the company’s new product range of modular line source array columns, featuring all-new pro ribbon transducer technology. The series is being designed to provide intelligibility in acoustically challenging environments. The scalable ribbon arrays combine a high directivity with completely controlled dispersion.
