APT to Introduce apt-X Live at NAB 2007

Audio Processing Technology (APT) of Belfast, Northern Ireland will introduce its new coding technology, apt-X Live, at this year’s NAB show (April 16-19) in Las Vegas, in booth #N4218. apt-X Live promises to deliver high quality audio and superior acoustics at compression rates of up to 8:1.

“apt-X Live sets a new benchmark of audio quality, low latency and error resilience,” says APT’s Commercial Director, Jon McClintock. “The industry is demanding ever greater bandwidth efficiency and we sought to provide a solution that meets these demands without compromising on the core competencies associated with apt-X.”

APT reports that Shure Inc. signed a licensing agreement to incorporate apt-X Live technology into Shure’s wireless products.

apt-X Live is currently available for licensing and will be incorporated into the company’s range of codecs in late 2007.
