Armed With Harris Consoles, Mixers Honored With Academy Awards

This year’s 77th Annual Academy Awards honored Scott Millan, Greg Orloff, Bob Beemer and Steve Cantamessa for their achievements in sound mixing for the motion picture Ray. The film was mixed on a 288-channel, 576-input Digital Harrison MPC mixing console at Sony Studios in Culver City, Calif.

This year’s 77th Annual Academy Awards honored Scott Millan, Greg Orloff, Bob Beemer and Steve Cantamessa for their achievements in sound mixing for the motion picture Ray. The film was mixed on a 288-channel, 576-input Digital Harrison MPC mixing console at Sony Studios in Culver City, Calif.

Also, nominated for the Achievement in Sound Mixing Oscar® was the mixing team of Kevin O’Connell, Greg Russell, Jeffrey Haboush and Joseph Geisinger using a 288-channel, 576-input Harrison MPC2 for ,i>Spider-Man 2.

Gary Thielman, advanced product manager of Harrison commented that, “We are honored that our consoles were used on many of the films nominated for Academy Awards in many categories, but we are especially proud of the two movies nominated for achievement in sound mixing that used our MPC2 Digital Film Consoles.
