Lon Bender
Ascent Media Group (AMG) announced today that audio post-production veterans Lon Bender and Wylie Stateman have agreed to extend their stay with the Santa Monica, Calif.-based company.
Bender currently serves as president of the company’s Creative Sound Services Group, while also working as a supervising sound editor on a number of motion picture projects under AMG’s Soundelux banner. Bender expressed a desire to focus more time and energy with his clients on creative endeavors. As a result, AMG created the position of chief creative officer for Bender, which he will assume at the beginning of next year.
Wylie Stateman will continue in his current capacities as executive vice president of the Creative Sound Services group and as a supervising sound editor, continuing to build AMG’s relationships within the creative community.

His leadership has reinvigorated Todd-AO and established Soundelux as an editorial force in the UK. We understand and respect Lon’s desire to focus completely on creating outstanding sound for movies. “
AMG also annouced that Robert C. Rosenthal will be assuming the post of chief operating officer for its sound companies, including Soundelux, Todd-AO, Modern Music and Sound One. Rosenthal joined the company in 1999 and has served in a number of senior management roles, most recently as senior VP of Creative Sound Services. Rosenthal will report to Bob Solomon, President of the Ascent Media Creative Services Group, which also includes such post-production facilities as Company 3, Encore Hollywood, Level 3 Post, and R!OT.
