Taylor Hohendahl Engineering LLC (aka T.H.E. Audio), manufacturer of professional condenser microphones and 3-D sound capture systems under the T.H.E. brand name, recently opened a new office in Knoxville, Tenn., for direct distribution of their products to the Americas.
Production and R&D laboratories will be maintained in Germany and South America. The company states that new joint ventures with the German companies AMPTEC and MBHO are in progress, which will increase T.H.E.’s production and distribution capabilities in the field of 3-D sound—including capturing, processing and reproduction.
T.H.E. further states that it is building on the success of its BS-3D Binaural Sphere, including the latest advances in its control and development of Holophonics™ patented technologies and licenses.
The company says that it will launch the first commercially available Holophonics™ 3-D recording system in late 2010, in versions specially designed for the film and video industries, including a digital wireless system for field use.
