BBC Radio Resources has just ordered a Studer Vista 8 digital production console for its new Mobile Studio, which will be used for a wide variety of sports, speech and music productions.
Seeing that the vehicle will be employed for so many different types of events, it was critical that the audio production facilities offer maximum flexibility and configurability. Studer’s Vistonics™ operating control surface and DSP engine were both instrumental in securing the contract with the renowned broadcast company. The Vista 8 also provided a greater number of faders in a small footprint, a major bonus to the BBC given the width-restricted environment of their new mobile rig.
The new BBC Radio mobile studio should be on the road in early 2005.
