Berkleemusic.com Offers New Production Courses for Winter Semester

Berkleemusic.com announced new production courses to be offered in the upcoming winter semester. Enrollment for the winter semester ends January 5, 2006; courses behind on January 9.

In Remixing, students will learn cutting-edge techniques that go beyond just remix production, from using Pro Tools 7 to hearing a song’s possibilities beyond its original arrangement and musical style.

In Hip-Hop Writing and Production, students will learn the techniques that hip hop producers use to create hit songs, including writing and production considerations, how to analyze and re-create different styles of hip hop and how to use this foundation to produce your own songs using Propellerhead Reason.

Guitarists will enjoy Recording and Producing for Guitarists, where they will find the right combination of recording equipment and production techniques. And in Amps, Effects and Getting Your Guitar Sound, students will create their own unique sound by learning how to select, combine and arrange guitar effects.

In Critical Listening, students will create compelling, professional-sounding songs by learning to identify the production elements that contribute to a well-balanced, artful and professional-sounding mix.
