Blue Announces BottleRocket Stage One, Stage Two Mics

Blue Microphones BottleRocket Stage One solid-state mic

Blue Microphones’ Stage One BottleRocket ($899) is a transformerless Class-A discrete solid-state microphone system that is fully compatible with Blue Bottle Caps, the same interchangeable capsule system used with Blue’s Bottle mic, allowing users to add an array of tonal characteristics and pickup patterns on the fly. The Stage One BottleRocket is hand-tuned and tested, and comes with Blue’s versatile B8 capsule, as well as a custom shock-mount and wood storage box.

The Stage Two BottleRocket ($1,999) is a transformerless tube microphone. It features a Class-A discrete amplifier circuit with a hand-selected ECC88 vacuum tube that promises superb detail. Like the Stage One, the Stage Two is also fully compatible with the Bottle Caps, offering tonal choices to complement its tube mic characteristics. Stage Two is likewise hand-tuned and tested, and comes with Blue’s versatile B8 capsule as well as a custom shock-mount, high-definition 5-conductor tube mic cable, Blue’s Powerstream power supply and an ATA-style flight case.

Blue states that the BottleRockets will be available at Blue pro audio retailers on October 31, 2008.
