Blue Microphones Honored in Inc. Magazine’s ‘Inc. 5000’

Blue Microphones in Westlake Village, Calif., announces that for the second year in a row, Inc. magazine named the company to its annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. For 2011, Inc. magazine ranked Blue Microphones at Number 1,081; in 2010, Blue Microphones was ranked at 1,481.

Blue reports that its sales grew by 267 percent over the past three years while expanding global sales and retail availability, introducing six new products, and receiving multiple awards and several technology patents and expanded.

“We are honored to be included for a second consecutive year in the Inc. 5000, among America’s fastest growing companies,” says John Maier, CEO of Blue Microphones. “We continue to push forward with the development of leading-edge audio products and expanding availability across the globe. We are proud of our growth and will continue developing products that integrate updated technologies with the highest quality audio capture.”

In the Consumer Products and Services industry category, Blue Microphones ranks Number 62. While continuing to introduce innovative USB microphone technology into the consumer market, Blue has also introduced two new professional studio microphones in the past year.

Blue Microphones joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, Honest Tea, Dunkin Donuts and Metrokane, makers of the Rabbit corkscrew, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list. In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains at 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.
