BOSS has added the BR-600 8-track recorder to its line of portable digital recorders. The BR-600 provides eight simultaneous playback tracks, and each individual track also contains eight V-Tracks (virtual tracks), giving musicians quick access to 64 tracks of recorded material so they can record dozens of takes and choose their favorites for mixdown.

Tracks can be manipulated with the BR-600’s built-in effects, which are derived from BOSS’ high-end recorders, including COSM guitar and bass amp models, chorus, delay, reverb, EQ for every channel and pitch correction. A built-in drum machine offers nearly 300 drum and percussion patterns in styles such as rock, pop, blues, country, R&B, Latin and more. Additionally, users can program beats with the BR-600’s velocity-sensitive pads

The BR-600 can operate on six AA batteries or on AC power. It includes built-in stereo microphones for point-and-capture recording on the spot. The BR-600 records CD-quality digital audio to an included Compact Flash card and comes with a custom carrying bag and XLR-to-1/4-inch mic adapter.
