Cakewalk Announces Winner of ‘Superstars’ Songwriting Competition

Cakewalk, Intel Corporation and OurStage.com, a Website that offers new music, announced on January 6 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas that Sara Lindsay won the grand prize for the Superstars songwriting competition with her song titled “Best of Me.” The $10,000 cash grand prize was awarded at the Intel Experience Pavilion.

Cakewalk reports that over the past six months, the Superstars Songwriter Competition attracted 5,900 artists who submitted 13,000 songs in six categories, and that more than 200,000 fans cast their votes.

Selection of the grand prize winner was determined by a panel of judges including Kristin Bredimus, Director of Community & Content, OurStage.com; Bruce Tyler, former EVP Sony Music; Mike Rivet, Intel Corporation; Jimmy Landry, Cakewalk artist relations (former A&R for EMI and Capitol Records); Rev. MOOSE, VP of Content, CMJ Network; and Jason Jordan, VP or A&R for Hollywood Records.
