Canada’s McGill University Upgrades Pyramix DAW System

McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montreal, Canada, has upgraded the Merging Technologies Pyramix DAW in its studio facilities. The university also added two more complete systems, supplied by Merging’s Canadian distributor, Sonotechnique PJL.

The new systems comprise two Pyramix MB5s with one AES-DSD daughter card and one SDIF daughter card. Each system is interfaced with a new Merging Sphynx II converter to record up to eight channels of DSD. The systems also have up to 24 I/O of PCM audio.
