Merging Technologies’ Canadian distributor Sonotechnique Inc. reports sales of the Pyramix system in two Canadian Universities.

Canada’s University of British Columbia School of Music recently purchased a Pyramix system with Music Pack and plans to upgrade soon to DSD to take advantage of its EMM Labs A/D and Genex D/A converters. The facility has also just installed a Pyramix Native system with Media Bundle to create a new secondary editing suite.

UBC School of Music will be using the system to record, edit and master all recitals and sessions this year, as well as on a number of upcoming surround projects.

Canada’s University of Victoria UVIC School of Music has also installed a Pyramix system (Pyramix Native + Media Bundle with LYNX card) to serve the university’s post-production and editing needs.

All guest, faculty and student recitals given at the School of Music are recorded, resulting in upwards of one hundred recordings and requests for duplications each University term.
