Composer Peter Fish Joins hsr/ny

Composer Peter Fish (pictured) has joined hsr/ny, a post-production facility in New York City servicing the advertising and entertainment industries. The addition of Fish is part of an expansion of hsr/ny’s original music and sound design capabilities, which includes a total renovation of Studio 16, where Fish will work. Fish will work alongside music director Justin Morris as well as outstanding mixers and sound designers.

Fish is a former studio owner who has known hsr/ny CEO and founder Howard Schwartz for many years. “I’ve always respected Howie and the high standards he sets for his studio,” Fish says. “After 25 years in both seats, now I prefer to concentrate on creative rather than on operations. Finding a home at a studio such as hsr was a natural fit for me.”

Fish comes to hsr/ny with a wealth of experience composing for film and television. Recently Fish composed music for The Unlucky Man in the Yellow Cap for the New York Fringe Festival. Earlier this year, he recorded and conducted three original compositions commissioned by the Czech National Symphony in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He recently completed Joyce Dragnosky’s short feature Happenstance, starring Jay O. Sanders, for HBO, as well as I Was a Creature from Outer Space, the prequel to Vinny Sassone’s upcoming feature Monster Makers.
