D.A.S. Audio announces the launch of its new line of PowerPro Series amplifiers, designed for both permanent installations and mobile applications. The PowerPro series comprises four models: PS-200, PS-400, PS-800 and PS-1400 (pictured).
The PS-200 (26 pounds) and PS-400 (29 pounds) are single-rackspace units offering power ratings of 100 and 200 watts per channel at 4 ohms, respectively. The PS-800 (40 pounds) and the PS-1400 (46 pounds) are two-rackspace units providing 450W and 700W per channel at 4 ohms. The amplifiers offer XLR and ¼-inch TSR connectors for the inputs, and both Speakon NL-4 and binding posts on the outputs (PS-800 and PS-1400 only).
Switches located on the rear panel are available for ground lift, operational mode (stereo-bridge-parallel) and input sensitivity selection (0.75, 1 and 1.4 volts). The low-noise fans force air from back to front and offer quiet, cool operation, while the high-energy toroidal transformer saves weight. Each channel is individually protected against output short-circuits, overloading and overheating. The power supply is protected against short-circuits, voltage and current overloading, which triggers the standby mode. Clip, protection and idle LED indicators are provided for easy troubleshooting.
