Digidesign has appointed Gerard “Tex” Schenkkan to the position of COO. Reporting directly to Avid VP and Digidesign general manager Dave Lebolt, Schenkkan will focus on day-to-day management of sales, marketing, R&D, operations, human resources and finance. Lebolt will focus on the company’s strategic direction, including strategic product planning, acquisitions and key customer development.
Prior to joining Digidesign, Schenkkan held positions as senior VP of the consumer electronics business of Maxtor Corporation; VP and general manager of consumer electronics at Quantum Corporation; and various roles in marketing and business development at Hewlett-Packard.
