Digidesign’s Pro Tools® TDM 6.6 software is now available for Pro Tools|HD on Mac OS X. The new version includes playback of video with the Avid Mojo™ and compatibility with Avid Xpress Pro 4.6.
With Pro Tools TDM 6.6 on Mac OS X, Avid Mojo, and the DigiTranslator option (all purchased separately), users can open OMF® or AAF sequences created with Avid Xpress Pro or Avid Media Composer® Adrenaline; play back video via an external monitor; tab from cut to cut in the Pro Tools video track; export finished audio for re-integration into an original Avid sequence; and, with the Pro Tools Video Capture/Layback Option, users can get a full copy of Avid Xpress Pro video editing software, plus a free update to a new version of Avid Media Station|V10 software designed specifically for audio/video capture, conform, and layback with Pro Tools (expected mid-2005).
Pro Tools TDM 6.6 on Mac OS X also includes optimizations to record start times and lockup times, and improved compatibility with third-party controllers like Soundmaster ION and Colin Broad/CB Electronics.
System Requirements: Digidesign-approved Pro Tools|HD system running on Mac OS X 10.3.5 with at least 2 GB of system RAM. Storage: Dedicated SCSI drives for both audio and video. FireWire storage is not currently supported with Avid Mojo
This release is qualified for co-installation on the same CPU with Avid Xpress Pro 4.6 only.
