Electro-voice Unleashes RE97, RE920Tx Wireless Mics

Electro-voice (EV) has announced the RE97 head-worn microphone and the RE920Tx horn microphone to its wireless product line.

Electro-voice (EV) has announced the RE97 head-worn microphone and the RE920Tx horn microphone to its wireless product line. The products were introduced in the U.S. at Winter NAMM 2005.

The RE97 is a head-worn omni-directional microphone, wired for use with EV and Telex bodypack transmitters via a 4-foot cable terminated in a TA4F connector. Available in beige, tan or black, the RE97 is specially designed for spoken word, house of worship, corporate A/V, theatrical and fixed install. The RE97 can be reformed for left or right ear usage. Package includes a foam pop filter, cable/clothing clip and gig bag.

The RE97 has a frequency response of 50 Hz to 15 KHz (+/- 3 dB), a sensitivity rating of 2.2mV, and a maximum SPL handling of 135 dB.
The RE920Tx™ is a cardioid condenser mic designed specifically for wireless use with musical instruments. It includes a specially designed instrument-mount clip assembly on a flexible gooseneck, which holds the mic in place whilst isolating it from mechanical vibration. The mic is terminated in a TA4F connector wired for use with EV and Telex bodypack transmitters, and includes a foam windscreen and gig bag.

The RE920Tx has a frequency response of 80 Hz to 18 KHz (+/- 3 dB), a sensitivity rating of 0.5mV, and a maximum SPL handling of 148 dB.
