elysia’s new alpha compressor plug-in ($299; $255 until December 31) is the software emulation of elysia’s discrete class-A mastering compressor, programmed by Brainworx and promising transparent compression, with all of the functions of its analog hardware counterpart.

The alpha plug-in offers mid/side and stereo processing; feedback and feed forward compression; Auto Fast modes for attack and release; integrated audio and sidechain filters; onboard parallel compression; switchable signal coloration; and additional Soft Clip Limiters that users can freely combine as needed.
elysia also offers a special mixing version with a reduced user interface that is designed for fast and easy mix bus operation.
The plug-in license includes all formats in one: TDM, RTAS, VST, Audio Units and Venue. According to elysia, native formats are currently available, while TDM and Venue will follow in January 2011.
A 14-day free trial works without an iLok, while the full license requires an iLok dongle.
