Eye2Ear Music Soundtrack Project Debuts at Number One

The original motion picture soundtrack for independent studio Summit Entertainment’s Twilight, the first major project of Eye2Ear Music, debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top 200 Album charts. Eye2Ear Music was launched in late 2007 to provide music-use services to the film and television communities.

Twilight is based on the best-selling novel by Stephanie Meyer. The album, released on Atlantic Records/Chop Shop and produced by Alex Patsavas of Chop Shop and Eye2Ear founder Paul Katz, features the new single from Paramore, “Decode.” The digital album is also Number One on the SoundScan digital albums chart. Carter Burwell composed, produced and performed the score, which was released digitally on November 21 and in stores on December 9. Summit Entertainment’s Twilight movie opened in theaters nationwide on November 21.

The soundtrack album and its companion score album emerged through Eye2Ear Music’s work with Summit Entertainment (Twilight, Step Up, Never Back Down). “Summit and their entire staff, along with Alexandra Patsavas and the Atlantic team, have been a joy to work with on the music for Twilight,” Katz says. “The success of the Twilight album is a direct result of the exceptional creative, marketing and business teamwork.”
