Fairlight announces the appointment of Danish company SoundWorks as its distributor for the whole of Scandinavia.
With extensive experience in the broadcast, pro audio and MI markets, SoundWorks is ideally placed to promote Fairlight’s range of award-winning media production systems, including Constellation, Xynergi, Anthem and PyxisTrack video.
Ken Barnsley, Fairlight’s head of European operations, says, “The Scandinavian market is one that we are keen to support and joining forces with a company as experienced as SoundWorks will allow us to introduce the Fairlight platform to a much wider customer base. Their ability to offer excellent advice and support will ensure that new and existing Fairlight customers identify the right Fairlight product for their needs and get all the help they require in terms of after sales support and training.”
The success of SoundWorks is based on the expertise and philosophy of Michael Miller, the company’s founder, who has a broad background in technical sound production, sales and support. Prior to establishing SoundWorks in 2002, Miller was technical manager at Sweet Silence, one of Denmark’s most renowned recording studios.
“At SoundWorks, we pride ourselves in our ability to find the most innovative brands," says Miller. "This latest generation of Fairlight technology is exactly what the market needs because it gives music, broadcast and post-production professionals a solid platform and access to the most intuitive editing tools on the market today. Fairlight is absolutely right for our market because its range is at the forefront of cutting edge audio and video technology. We look forward to introducing the company to our network of clients, which includes leading radio and television broadcasters and recording studios.”
SoundWorks has invested in a range of Fairlight demonstration equipment including a Xynergi Media Production Centre, which it is now showing at its facility in Hellerup, Denmark.
